How to edit a Canva Template

• Login to canva: Register for a free Canva account or sign in. You can do so right here. You have the option of creating a Free or Pro Account. To access your templates, you simply need the free version.
• Open your file: Click on the link that gives you access to your Canva templates.

To open your copy, click the ‘Use template’ option. Your copy will be opened in Canva’s dashboard. A copy will be copied and stored to your Canva account automatically. It will be visible on the homepage under ‘your designs.’

TIP: Before you begin modifying your file, make a backup of the original. If you make changes that you are unhappy with, you can always go back to the original. Remove the Copy of from the file’s name and replace it with MASTER. Then select File > Make a Copy. Make changes to your new copy version.

• EDIT THE COLORS: Simply click on the element, then on the color box, to change the colors. Change the color by selecting it from the left side panel. By clicking on the new color box, you can add a new color. To return to the original color, simply click the undo arrow in the menu bar.
• EDIT THE TEXT & FONTS: To edit the text, click the text box, highlight the text, and begin typing. To change the font, select the text and then select a font from the toolbar. You can alter the size, color, and alignment. You can also change the line height and letter spacing.
• SAVING YOUR FILES:Once you are ready to save your file click Download in the menu bar. Click download, select the file (png is recommended for posts), scroll down and select the exact page you want to save, then click done.
